Spinal Health Tips from a Local ChiropractorBy Dr. Robert W. Levine
School officials as well as parents are concerned about each student’s eyesight, hearing, teeth, and any health problems, or potential health problems which might interfere with the student’s normal development.
Spinal check-ups are equally as important as other types of health examinations. Too few parents and school officials realize the consequences of a curvature (scoliosis) of the spine. A slightly crooked spine may not exhibit any obvious signs to the untrained eye, but may contribute to recurring headaches, leg aches, hyperactivity, irritability, nervousness, lack of energy, difficulty in concentration and learning, etc.
Danger Signals indicating need for a chiropractic examination
1 Recurring headaches 2 Pain and muscle tension in back of neck, or between shoulders 3 Stiffness or pain in lower back 4 Loss of sleep 5 Nervous tension or fatigue (nerve exhaustion) 6 Numbness or pain in the arms, hands, legs, or feet 7 Muscle spasms or painful joints 8 Dizziness or tiredness in the mornings
If you have any questions, or if you would like additional information, please feel free to call my office.
